The London Heathrow is the country’s busiest and most advanced airport. The terminal 5 of Heathrow was opened to public in the year 2008. This four storey building has several shops, cafes, restaurants and a multi storey car park. It is located to the west end of the airport and is connected to the M25 highway. The Stansted airport is one of London’s busiest airports and travelling from the Heathrow to Stansted can be very crucial. Stansted in located is Essex and the distance from terminal 5 of Heathrow to Stansted is about 100 kilometres.
Terminal 5 is located a few meters away from the Central bus station. The Heathrow Express runs free services between the two places four times in an hour. The National Express coach from the central bus station runs direct services between the two airports at a frequency of 15 minutes. There are no direct train or tube services from the Heathrow to Stansted.
Terminal 5 now operates a new branch of the Underground Piccadilly Line. This service takes you to Central London from where you can avail other modes of travel to the Stansted airport. The Stansted Express from the Liverpool station runs at a frequency of 15-20 minutes to the Stansted airport. This is by far the fastest way of travelling from Central London to Stansted. In addition to this there are many other private coach services running between Central London and Stansted. However shifting between trains and buses and travelling with heavy luggage in public transport can be tiresome.
Taxis can be availed right outside the terminal 5 building. Taxis and minicabs are available 24/7 throughout the year. Pre booking a minicab from Heathrow to Stansted is a safer and more comfortable option. They also offer free flight monitoring services and free waiting time on the airport pickups. If comfort and safety are the top most priorities then minicabs are undoubtedly the best way to travel from terminal 5 of Heathrow to Stansted.
